About our mahogany neck blanks
Used in traditional guitarmaking, genuine mahogany is very stable, dense, and is one of the best woods for woodworking; it sands easily, routered edges stay crisp and sharp, and it accepts stains and finish. Unsurpassed working and finishing qualities.
While international trade of mahogany is becoming more restricted, the search for comparable alternatives has been ongoing. Sipo is the closest we are finding to the traditional mahogany that does not have any restrictions to shipping it worldwide.
