Defretting By Robert McAllister from Hamlin, NY Sunday, September 15, 2019 Verified Buyer I did a diy defretting of my seven-string bass, and this worked perfectly to fill in the fret lines. It looks great on the purple heart fretboard.

Binding repair is hard.... By Ed from Fairview, TN Thursday, April 13, 2017 Verified Buyer ...but these solved my problem. The resonator on my 1928 Paramount Style A had lost a section of binding. None of the stock combinations would work. So I laminated two pieces of each color together and then thinned them down a bit. A few more clamps would have come in handy but the results were worth the effort.
I love how easy they are to use. By Dan Vines from Aberdeen, Washington Thursday, December 25, 2014 Verified Buyer This was my first time doing purfling and it was so easy to use. I got the package of 6 maple black and white. I also used the curly maple biding and it looks great too.
Time saver By Doug Raineault from Middletown, CT Thursday, February 20, 2014 Verified Buyer I generally make my own purflings but purchased the maple purflings to save me time in the shop. Very good quality and well worth the expense.
Worked perfect to fill in frets By CDC from Austin, TX Saturday, October 19, 2013 Verified Buyer Had a friend that pulled all the frets out to have a fretless bass. I made him leave it with me so I could fill the frets and set it up properly. Maple on rosewood is a nice contrast. Worked great and now sounds pretty good for a potential disaster.
You may want to cut your own By J.C. Moranville from Colorado Tuesday, March 22, 2011 Verified Buyer These strips are made from soft maple and can be difficult to achieve sharp lines. They work good, but I would suggest doubling your order because of the inconsistent width and at times thickness.
