Grover F-Style 409 Series Mandolin Tuning Machines

Grover F-style mandolin tuners are available in two different gear configurations, with engraved die-cast baseplates and 18:1 gear ratio.

Standard 29/32" (23mm) string post spacing.
11/32"-diameter (8.73mm) pegholes required.

Each set includes:
• Pair of 4-left, 4-right tuning machines
• Removable pearloid plastic knobs
• Press-fit peghead bushings
• Mounting screws

Available in two different gear configurations:
#5675 with worm gear under string post (turn the the knob counterclockwise to tighten the string)
#5674 with worm gear over string post (turn the knob clockwise to tighten the string)
Important: These two styles may not be interchangeable on the same peghead. See Specs before ordering.

Installation Tips

Peghole spacing: Plate-mounted tuners can't work efficiently if the pegholes are improperly drilled. Our Mandolin Peghead Drill Jig ensures precise 29/32" spacing for accurate alignment for these tuning machines.

Bushings: We recommend the #2061 Bushing Reamer (.328" diameter) to cut a clean, accurate counterbore for a professional job. Fit the press-fit tuner bushings correctly so your tuners will work smoothly.

Mounting screws: Pilot holes required. Installing delicate screws into hard wood requires great care and accuracy. We highly recommend the #1714 Depth-stop Drill Bit (3/32" bit) for the pilot hole before installing these screws. Lubricate the screw threads with cutting lubricant (also wax or a bar of soap) to reduce friction and help them thread properly.
