Jewelry for your guitarA vintage material is reborn
Our ivoroid bridge pins, endpins and strap buttons are made of Galalith, a dense and durable casein-based material that polishes beautifully. Popular in the early 20th century, Galalith is found today in collectible vintage jewelry. It cannot be molded; each pin is precisely machined and has none of the unslightly mold lines common to plastic pins.

Our ivoroid pins match our endpins and the knobs on Waverly guitar tuning machines.

Not bone, but much better than plastic.

Replacing plastic pins in 1980 Ibanez and 1997 Guild solid top dreadnoughts. Spring for bone if you can, but these are much better than the plastic that comes in almost all guitars thee days.

Bought These to Replace Stock Pins on a Martin LX

As noted above, I bought these (and an end pin) to replace the stock pins on a Martin LX. They fit well and look nice (nicer quality than the stock pins). I can't say I hear a difference in tone but I bought them for aesthetic reasons, so I'm OK with that.

Nice in every way

I generally like wood bridge pins both for appearance and tone. Regular cheap plastic pins negatively affect sound and sustain a little bit. A problem I often have with wood pins though is that they crack and chip and shred a little over time. I liked the look of the ivoroid pins and tried a set years ago on a customers guitar. I've ordered several sets since then and have just put them on my personal guitar. This is kind of a big deal for me because I'm really picky about sound. My McGill SuperSteel is the best sounding rig I've ever owned (and cost as much as a good used car). Frankly, I can't detect any loss of tone, volume or sustain with these ivoroid pins and they will definitely hold up great for the long run - Win/Win...

Great product

I bought these Waverly Ivoroid bridge pins to replace the plastic ones that came with my Martin Ceo-7. The pins fit well with a 1.5 mm space under the top ball ring. That may be slightly high but looks good and works well. I bought real bone pins and had one half of the slotted part shear off with the direction of the grain. Will not happen with Ivoroid. Can't say I notice a sound difference. Guitar sounds great anyway : )

I was missing a bridge pin in my Guild D-55, which I had inherited from my brother. This set solved the problem. I also replaced the endpin.
