About bridge & tailpiece measurements

Bridge and Tailpiece reference image

String spread is the distance between the centers of the outer strings on a bridge or tailpiece.

Saddle radius determines the arc formed by all the individual saddle heights, and is similar to the measurement of a fretboard.

Stud/post spacing is the distance between the centers of the mounting posts of a bridge or 'stop' tailpiece.

Tune-o-matic bridge for Gibson LP

By

I bought a used LP a few years back, and performed a complete setup on it. Unfortunately, the bridge was damaged and would not intonate properly. I was sad to let my guitar just sit unplayable, so I treated it to this new bridge and now it sings sweet music to me.

Retaining wire not needed

All I can say is nice stability & tuning but that needless retaining wire is a pain in the axe!. You will understand when you go to set your intonation & you have to reverse a saddle and the retaining wire does not cooperate.

This bridge worked great on my Les Paul Standard DC. I am going to order two more for my LP Studio models later this month. Great price and showed up really fast. I used my existing posts and just easily swapped the bridge piece out. Works perfect and intonation is solid and holding very well.
