Banjo 5th Peg Drill Jig

Accurately locate and drill the banjo 5th peg hole
One of the trickiest steps of building a bluegrass banjo is installing the 5th peg in the neck. Easy to set up and use, this drill jig makes quick work of a difficult job.

Guitarmaker Todd Sams has built a lot of banjos. He developed this simple fixture to quickly and accurately drill the 5th peg hole on his custom banjo necks.

Works before or after the fingerboard is installed
Simply clamp the jig in the correct location, adjust the pivot plate to the proper depth, and drill your hole. We've included the right size bit with an adjustable depth stop to ensure you won't drill too deep. In just a few minutes, you have a properly located hole that's ready to accept a 5th string peg.

Includes:
Aluminum drill jig
11/32" drill bit
Depth stop
2 Allen wrenches
