StewMac Tinted Super Glue

About This Item

Excellent for repair work!
Colored glues are ideal for touching up gaps and repairing bindings, nuts, inlay and more.

StewMac's super glues are formulated specifically for instrument repair. All the tinted glues are #20 Medium viscosity, best for filling small imperfect joint gaps. They'll speed your work by hours. Our tinted super glues cure in 10-25 seconds.

Bonus! Each bottle includes 3 free Whip Tip nozzle extenders for precision gluing, and 1 clog-free stopper which has a tiny pin to prevent clogs.

StewMac Tinted Super Glues come in 3 different colors (sold separately) for various guitar repair situations:

White super glue matches white nuts and new plastic binding. Also makes a great base for tinting with other colors. 0.5-ounce bottle.

Black blends well with ebony repairs, convenient for working on fretboards and bridges. Fill around inlay on a black peghead, too! 1-ounce bottle.

Amber was developed with aged lacquer in mind. Tech advisor Erick Coleman uses amber glue on the ends of nuts to simulate an aged, lacquered-in appearance. 1-ounce bottle.

Small bottles minimize shelf life problems. To maximize shelf life, store super glues in a cool dry place.

Warning! Super glues bond skin and eyes instantly. Use in a well ventilated area. Keep out of the reach of children.

A bit transparent, and bright for my application.

Color is good, need to find best sanding techique

The color I used(black) was a good match for my project. It tends to get a white film with sanding, even micromesh. May want to mix with filings of the material you are working with to get a more consistent sanded finish.

Worked great

I bought this to fix a crack in my daughter's telecaster. It's just a Squier so I didn't want to spend money on a professional repair (it would have cost more then the guitar is worth, lol). But this did the job really well. The black tint matched the body perfectly and the wicking tips are really helpful for getting into fine cracks. It took a while to sand and polish the repair but it's hardly noticeable now. My only complaint is that the glue kept seeping down inside the crack before it would dry. In order to get it to set at the surface I had to pick up some superglue accelerator spray, so I could make it cure instantly before it disappeared inside the crack.

Perfect for ebony

I do inlays with shells and ebony. This is the ONLY product I use. It fills in all voids and is absolutely invisible on ebony. It fills in the voids and looks just like ebony. Fantastic product!

Great stuff

I was installing a Zero Glide nut into one of StewMac's guitar kits. There was a minor imperfection in the wood of the fingerboard where the nut sat. It left a narrow void at one end of the nut base. I filled the space with this White Superglue. The result was amazing. I don't know how else I would have done it. Thanks a lot for another great StewMac product.
