Essential Supply Set for Ukulele Kit

About This Item

All of the supplies you will need to assemble and finish your StewMac Ukulele Kit.

Our Uke Kit is an outstanding choice for first time builders or those wanting to get younger kids/teens interested in instrument making. This set eliminates guesswork when buying supplies and ensures you won't run into roadblocks once you get started. There's nothing more frustrating than having to stop in the middle of a project just to make a run to the hardware store!

Our StewMac Wipe-On Poly Finish is easily applied with a soft cloth or foam brush. It's also low odor and has a short drying time. Our Low Tack Protective Tape is great for keeping areas safe from glue squeeze out, protecting the sides when trimming the overhang of the top/back, or for marking out the bridge location without damaging the top. Also included in this set is our specially thinned StewMac Super Glue, long-lasting 3M Gold Sandpapers, and more of the supplies you need for a successful Ukulele Kit project!

#0010 StewMac Super Glue - 10 Thin, 1 oz.
#0622 Titebond Original Wood Glue - 4 oz.

Must have for the Ukulele Kit

Verified Buyer

This supply kit provides most of what you need to properly build the kit and follow along with the instructional videos. I highly recommend purchasing it with the kit.

Overall the kit had some good basics to get started.

Almost everything you need.

I finished the body but I’m waiting on a replacement neck. So far I have used a couple brushes, some glue, the masking tape, and 180 grit sandpaper finishing the bottom and top. I feel like StewMac should add: some more 180 grit, a bag of clothespins and rubber bands, a couple small files, and a small chisel to this “essentials” kit. I would pay an extra $30-40 to avoid the trips to the store. I used to be an electricians apprentice so I have tools but the files I had on hand are pretty big and coarse. I also had zero woodworking tools: Sanders, Chisels, planes etc.(Unless you count a saws all haha) luckily I already own a Dremel
