Green Abalone Purfling
Genuine abalone shell with deep greens and a minimum of pale areas. Abalone's natural ripples and color contrasts are well-known from vintage D-45s.
Each package contains enough random-length pieces for 15" of purfling.
Width: .063" (1.60mm)
Height: .050" (1.27mm)
Length: 15" (381mm) overall, in various-length pieces
Curved pieces inside diameter: 4.921" (125mm)
These purflings can be squared and mitered with a file. For gradual curves without noticeable joints, fit straight purflings into the glue-filled channel and break them to conform to the curve. Using this method, the 125mm-diameter curved pieces will also fit slightly larger or smaller curved channels.
