Switchcraft Output Jack

About This Item

The industry standard for output jacks, and we've got them for mono and stereo applications.

These Switchcraft™ jacks accept standard 1/4" plugs. A mono jack is suitable for most guitars; a stereo jack can be used for stereo wiring, or to enable onboard active electronics when a 1/4" mono plug is inserted.

Choose the long thread jack for guitars and basses that have a thick top or control plate. The extra threads give the nut a bit more to bite on. Great for older Gibsons like the SG and EB bass.

  • Required mounting hole diameter: 3/8" (9.53mm)
  • Thread: 3/8 x 32
  • Thread height: 1/4" (6.35mm)
  • Long thread height: 3/8" (9.53mm)

Mounting nut and flat washer included.

The jacks are great. Just right for a pick guard mounted jack. Make sure you order the extended sleve one if you are doing a semi hollow body or it won't go all the way through far enough. I made this mistake.

Switchcraft long thread jacks

I used "common or garden" 6.5mm jacks on my earlier instruments, but moved to the Switchcraft product some time ago - the Switchcraft units are wonderful.... they have a much firmer/positive contact action than other types I have used, and the longer thread is a big plus when installing on a 3-4mm instrument side + a small reinforcement piece. These are definitely the "go" for me!!!
