Nice flame at an incredible price! Straight from our Ohio sawmill, these AA lightly flamed necks with bold maple tone will make an awesome custom instrument. These blanks are sized for electric guitar, classical, archtop, or bass.

Strong and straight, each AA piece is planed and ready for you to begin your build. These blanks have minimal imperfections (pin knots, color streaks, etc.) that keep them from getting the top grade.
Top quality tonewood
Each kiln-dried neck blank is a solid piece of soft Silver Maple (Acer saccharinum) that's ready for bandsawing and shaping in your shop. Used by Fender and countless other makers for decades, maple is ideal for building necks. The 1" thickness makes it easy to craft a classic 1-piece Fender-style neck (without an attached fingerboard) if you choose.

Get a maple heel block
Many acoustic and archtop builders choose to build their necks by gluing a separate heel block onto a thinner neck blank rather than cutting a "one piece" neck. This adds strength and cuts down on waste.
Our instructions "Neck Construction Tips and Techniques" include tips for adding headstock "ears," routing for a truss rod, laminating a classical guitar heel, and more.
