When most builders picture ebony, they imagine a fingerboard that's jet black, uniform, and nearly featureless. But that's only one expression of the species.

These Limited Edition White Ebony Fingerboards reveal another side of African ebony, one that few builders have ever had the opportunity to work with. Featuring everything from creamy white and warm honey tones to dramatic black streaking, bold grain, and even the occasional touch of curl or flame, each fingerboard is completely unique, stable, and exceptionally beautiful.

This isn't a different species of ebony. It's the very same African ebony that has been prized by guitar makers for generations.

Like traditional ebony, these fingerboards are exceptionally hard, stable, wear-resistant, hold frets exceptionally well, and are perfectly suited for guitars that will see decades of playing. The only difference is the way nature chose to color the wood.

Many builders have come to appreciate these lighter boards not as a compromise, but as an opportunity to build something truly one of a kind, and a way to be better stewards of our natural resources.

Unsanded and kiln dried, these fingerboards are ready to build with after proper acclimation to your shop.

We were fortunate to acquire a large shipment of these unusual fingerboards, allowing us to offer genuine African ebony at a price that's becoming almost impossible to find. Some boards are nearly cream-colored. Others feature bold black streaks running the full length of the board. Many fall somewhere in between, and a few even display beautiful curl or flame.

Once this shipment is gone, we don't expect another opportunity like it.
