Graph Tech Ratio Tune-a-lele Ukulele Tuners

About This Item

Lightweight and accurate tuners for your ukulele
Don't settle for an out of tune ukulele anymore! Graph Tech's Ratio tuners will keep you strumming in tune by the campfire or on the couch.

Stock ukulele tuners are notoriously bad—the gears are ragged and strings constantly slip. Replacement tuners can be bulky, throwing your uke out of balance with neck dive. Graph Tech finally solved all these problems with their Ratio tuner technology.

Designed exclusively for ukuleles
To keep the weight down, Graph Tech uses a feather-light material that adds virtually no weight to the headstock, keeping the ukulele perfectly balanced for comfortable playing. Next, they found that the optimal ratio for ukulele strings was 6:1—strings not only stay in tune better, backlash is absolutely eliminated. The friction peg/banjo-style mounting makes it easy to mount these tuners on any headstock shape or tuner configuration.

    Features:
  • 11/32" (8.75mm) diameter pegholes required
  • Mounting screws and bushings included
  • Modern style
  • Ultra lightweight
  • Maximum peghead thickness 7/16" (11.11mm)
  • Set of 4 fits many tuner configurations

My favorite uke tuners...

These tuners are fabulous. Super light-weight, easily installed. Used them on a slightly longer scale baritone ukulele and very pleased They look good and the gear ration is perfect - a nice balance between friction tuners and standard higher-ratio guitar tuners. Very much satisfied. These will be my go-to uke tuners from now on.

Fantastic Uke Tuners

These machine head tuners kick "old school" friction tuners to the curb. Installation is doable and may take a 1/2 hour or so. Quality is very high. product is light weight. The 6:1 ratio enables string tuning to be precise. The tuners hold tightened strings perfectly. So many players struggle needlessly with old friction tuners. For a small hardware investment, the Tune-a-lele uke tuners are a real game changer! Highly recommended. Great service also.

These tuners are ambidextrous and super easy to install, whether it's the first tuner installed or a re-fit. They work very well, smooth, no hint of backlash and tuning is quick, sure, accurate. The pegs are very nice looking and the backs are not super-pretty, but not ugly, either. The low price makes these a great value!

Where did the weight go?

I replaced the enclosed metal tuners on my Smiger ukulele with these GraphTech tuners. They work wonderfully, easy to tune, and stays in tune. What was the best surprise is that they changed the balance of the uke in a very good way. That uke is very lightweight and had a tendency to be headstock heavy while playing. The new tuners have lightened the headstock to the point of changing the balance of the Uke and making it much easier to play.

For the money, you can't beat these tuners. Fancy, expensive units wouldn't suit the old Harmony uke I play, but these were a great upgrade from friction pegs.
