Graph Tech's Ratio design is a calibrated and synchronized tuning system that makes tuning and re-tuning your bass faster and more intuitive. Each string position has a custom calibrated gear ratio, so every string feels and reacts the same to any tuning adjustment. You get fine tuning on the thicker core strings and coarser tuning on the thinner strings.
Fast, predictable, and ultra-precise
One full rotation of any tuning key results in one full tone pitch change. From Low B to G, the gear ratios are 48:1, 36:1, 30:1, 20:1, and 18:1. Few bass tuners get close to this type of precision.
In order to achieve the higher gear ratios and smooth response, Graph Tech developed these tuners with the world's first double envelope gear design made of hardened steel. Amazingly smooth, super strong, and ready for a lifetime of use.
