Got it covered.

I just got this in case the new owner of my Dad's 56 Les Paul wanted to replace the original as 2 corners are broken off at the screw hole. Too bad it's not the same as the original. Back in 56 fool at the factory also drilled one of the screw holes right next to the hole for the jack.

Color Match Issue

By

Verified Buyer

These are a great general purpose item, but if you're trying to match the exact cream color that Gibson provides, the color is not an exact match. Same applies to cream toggle plate and pickup rings. They have that Epi-cream tint which is lighter in color. Plus the "Genuine" Gibson jack plate covers are pre-curved to easily fit the body. No matter what LP style jack plate you use, the corners crack very easily and the LP Genuine plates help prevent this. The Stewmac model is not curved. I would add a pic showing side by side comparison but I keep running in to issues posting the pic from any tablet or laptop.

Fit 2015 LPJ

By

Fit is fine for a 2015 LPJ. Screw holes lined up. Seems to be a hair smaller than stock Gibson part, but not enough to worry about.

Affordable replacement part.

Simple jack plate for historic Les Paul . Thicker than original plate and screw holes are almost perfect . However the color is laughable.

Fits great on my Les Paul R8

My jack plate on my R8 cracked so I had to find a replacement. This one works like a charm and it’s a better and thicker quality of plastic than the original. Color matches perfectly.

Not sure what else to say. Solid quality for a plastic part and it fits.

Worked ... barely

By

Apparently the Gibson Les Paul jack plate is slightly larger than the one on the Tokai Love Rock Les Paul, since this plate really didn't want to fit. I managed to get it screwed down but I'm afraid the screw holes may never forgive me and I'll be doing some repair work later.
