Electronics
Pickup upgrade: Let's face it, stock single coils are harsh, brittle, and super noisy. We've chosen a matched set of our Golden Age Alnico 5 single-coil pickups to wake up your Squier. These premium quality pickups are custom wound for the classic Strat tone you've loved from your favorite guitar heroes for years. The smoother highs and defined bass of these pickups are a great sonic upgrade for any Strat regardless of price.
Premium wiring upgrade: Where companies really cut quality to make a guitar more affordable is the electronics. Quality matters when you are upgrading this critical tone circuit. We've included the premium CTS pots, upgraded Orange Drop cap, and high quality wire used in top of the line USA-made custom shop instruments. Say goodbye to scratchy pots and flimsy switches for good.
And we even include new knobs for these professional-quality pots.
Hardware
This set also includes our Squier Stratocaster Hardware Upgrade Kit. More than just a tone upgrade, these top of the line parts will greatly improve your playability too.
Locking Tuner Upgrade: Play in tune and stay in tune. The Gotoh Magnum Lock Tuners have a super smooth gear, 16:1 ratio, and locking posts to keep you in tune even with heavy tremolo use. Your stock tuners just can't keep up with these premium tuning machines. You'll also tune up faster too!
Saddle Upgrade: When it comes to giving your tone and playing comfort a boost, there's no better upgrade than replacing the stock bridge saddles. The precision machined Highwood Contoured Vintage Saddles use high quality steel that improves sustain, single note definition, and harmonic response. They are also super comfortable—the height adjustment screws are fed from the bottom of the saddle and never extend over the top so the screws won't rip your hands to shreds.
String Tree Upgrade: Surprisingly, a string tree upgrade can make your guitar more comfortable to play and help you stay in tune better. Stock string trees put too much pressure on the G string, making it stiff to bend and hard to keep in tune. The Triple Tree has an extra wing that reaches the G string (without drilling a new hole), and decreases the pressure on the string significantly. Now the G will bend easier, play smoother, and stay in tune better.
Will it fit?
We picked everything in this set to fit perfectly on your Fender Classic Vibe, Squier, Affinity or other Strat-style guitar. In most cases, replacing your parts is as simple as changing a few screws (and maybe drilling a hole or two).
Figuring out if these upgrades will fit your guitar is easier than you think! All you need is a ruler and a little patience. Just follow these simple steps:
1. Measure your string spacing: On your original bridge measure from the low E string to the high E string. If the measurement is 2-1/16" (52.37mm), IT WILL FIT!
2. Measure your pegholes: Remove one of your tuners. Take a ruler and measure across the hole. If the measurement is 25/64" (10mm),
IT WILL FIT!
