StewMac Roller Bridge
StewMac Roller Bridge
Your bridge is the real reason your vibrato tailpiece keeps throwing you out of tune
On a standard Tune-o-matic, the strings sit in fixed slots, which can cause them to bind up and release mid-bend. That infamous 'ping' tells you your string just shifted out of tune. And with a tremolo system, that friction makes reliable tuning nearly impossible.
The StewMac Roller Bridge swaps those fixed saddles for smooth brass rollers. Since they move with the string, bends are smooth and your tuning stays put. For extra-smooth movement, you can add a drop of Guitar Grease to your nut slots to cut friction at both ends. Each roller is fully adjustable, so you can easily lock down your intonation.
If your guitar has a Bigsby or other vibrato, this bridge actually lets it work. It drops right in as a replacement for standard M5 Nashville-style bridges.
