Double-sided Bench Vacuum Clamp

Secure, non-marring work holder for guitars and delicate shop tasks
Holding a guitar body securely without damaging it is always a challenge.

Designed by luthier and instructor Robbie O'Brien, the Double-Sided Bench Vacuum Clamp uses vacuum pressure to lock to your bench, holding your work firmly in place from below. No clamp jaws, no screw pressure, no risk of dents or marks. Just a stable, reliable hold that lets you work with confidence.

Whether you are scraping, sanding, routing, or fitting parts, this gives you clear access and solid support exactly where you need it.

Hold your work without clamp pressure
Traditional vises and clamps apply force at a few points, which can shift your work or leave marks behind.

Vacuum pressure distributes holding force evenly across the contact surface. Your work stays put, fully supported, and protected.

It is a simple, effective way to hold finished or delicate parts without risk.

Dual-sided design for flat and radiused surfaces
One side features a flat surface with a soft gasket that seals securely to your bench or table.

Flip it over and the opposite side provides a 15' radius surface with dual gaskets. This supports curved work like guitar tops and backs while maintaining a strong, consistent vacuum seal.

You get a stable hold on both flat and radiused surfaces with one tool.

Built for real shop work
3D printed from tool-grade thermal plastic, this fixture is strong, stable, and built for repeated use. It is rigid enough for demanding tasks, yet lightweight and easy to position on your bench.

Durable sealing gaskets protect your work while maintaining reliable vacuum performance.

A better way to work on guitar bodies
Once the vacuum is engaged, your work is held firmly from below while remaining fully accessible. No clamps in the way, no repositioning around clamp jaws.

It is especially useful for:

  • Guitar body work including scraping, sanding, and routing
  • Working on tops and backs during voicing or cleanup
  • Sanding, polishing, or finishing work

Working area and specifications

  • Approximately 10.75" (273.1mm) diameter working area
  • Dual-gasket system for even pressure and surface protection
  • Compatible with most vacuum pumps rated from 1 to 3 CFM

What is included

  • Double-Sided Vacuum Clamp with flat and radiused sides
  • Soft sealing gaskets installed on both sides
