These chisels are a rare find, they get into some awfully tight places. They are the best for cleaning out a mortise on a violin bow. I would have given 5 stars, but after all this time, SOMEBODY should provide a way to sharpen these to maintain the original bevel. I asked every dealer carrying these, I asked Dockyard Tools, and being told to "use a sharpening stone" is a cop out on their part. HOW do you maintain the original bevel? What good is a chisel if you cannot maintain a consistent edge? The weird dog leg curve in the shaft makes making a sharpening jig a royal hassle. But they're great tools, I always have at least one set.

Just the ticket for inlay

These are the missing tool for inlay work. I don't think my Dremel tool work will ever be anything to write home about, but the work for " hogging" out the Rose wood was made for these chisels in combination with my router Dremel. They are worth every penny.

Sharp, evenly edged, good angles. These are very handy for small, accurate material removal.

I cleaned out a nut slot the day they arrived and here it is about 4 days later and I've just done another one. They're the ticket for nut slots.

Very well made set of small chisels

These small dogleg style chisels are perfect for nut and saddle slot work. That was my reason for getting them but they will come in use for many other cleanups of narrow spots and corners.
The actual blade widths in MM are: 3.25, 2.75, 2.4, 2.0 in case you need to know if they'll fit your need. I'm replacing at least the nut and maybe the saddle on a Martin 5-18 "Terz" from 1954 so I'm going slowly to ease up "to the line" and these chisels should do the job quite well.

Great for scraping binding in a mandolin scroll

Very useful tools... just today used one of them to clean the binding off in a mandolin scroll... they may seem a little pricey, but I recommend them... the quality is great, and you will find yourself reaching for them frequently.

Micro chisel review

I had purchased a rosewood pyramid bridge from an ebay vendor and discovered that the saddle slot had been cut improperly. The bottom of the slot was not remotely close to being flat, not sure how they accomplished that, but there it was. I was able to clean up and flatten the slot very quickly with the Micro Chisels. Excellent quality tools.

Fantastic Tool

I didn't realize how much I needed these until I got these. Now I went and bought a second set for my son. He's a carver and loves them. The metal in them is excellent. I had another set that was soft and bent went used. They hold an edge and one of my favorite tools.
