The dial indicator is accurate to .001" (the metric model to 0.01mm) for thicknesses up to 1" (25mm). It has an adjustable zero point, and can also be positioned for left-hand use. You can install the removable brass foot for convenient freestanding operation, or take your measurements freehand; the sturdy lightweight aluminum frame is easy to handle.
