Guitar Tuner Drill Jig for Slotted Headstocks

Drill perfect pegholes on slotted headstocks instantly
Drilling perfectly aligned pegholes is a tricky and difficult job, and for slotted headstocks it can be downright awful. It's all too easy to get just slightly off-center, chip out the walls of the slots, or drill too far. Even if you have a drill press, this very delicate operation takes serious planning.

Misaligned, off-center pegholes not only look terrible, they also cause tuning problems.

New design
Customers asked us to make two versions of our popular jig, one dedicated to classical guitars, and one for steel string. Each is clearly labeled, and each has expertly drilled holes to keep your drill straight, perfectly spaced and centered.

Use your drill press or hand drill with ease and precision. No need to mess with additional bushings.

Each swiveling aluminum jig maintains the 1-3/8" (35mm) hole spacing for string posts or rollers.

Clamp the jig on any peghead from 1/2" (12.7mm) to 1-1/8" (28.58mm) thick. Use the supplied 13/32" (10.32mm) bit for classical machines, or the supplied letter "G" bit, 0.261" (6.63mm) for steel-string tuners.

No need to guess if your tuners are aligned—get them right every time.
