Fieldpiece LED Extension Mirror

About This Item

Combo mirror AND light! A big help for interior inspections in most hollow-body instruments!

This versatile tool is a combination LED mini flashlight and handy swivel-jointed mirror attachment that adjusts in any direction. It telescopes waaaaay out, to let you illuminate and inspect areas deep inside large instruments where most mirrors can't reach. It's slim enough to fit into mandolin and uke soundholes, too—one tool does it all. The reliable lifetime LED light reflects off the mirror to shine where you need it. Easily detach the mirror to use the tool as a standalone flashlight. Convenient pocket clip included.

Flashlight extends from 6-1/2" (165.1mm) to 30-1/2" (774.7mm)

Mirror size: 2" x 1" (50.8mm x 25.4mm)

Three LR41 button batteries included.

The transaction, as always was seamless. I was once again satisfied with both my purchase and the quick delivery. That's what keeps me coming back, time after time. Thanks again, StewMac!

Handy

By

It’s not just for the curious pleasure seekers wishing to see just how scalloped is scalloped. It’s a handy little gadget I keep handy just in case, i.e. a loose cable on my electronics that make a lot of sound. Well worth the price of the ticket.

Good for standard size guitars

Bought this to inspect the inside of a Martin Backpacker but found that it couldn't reach far enough inside due to the shallow depth of the guitar as well as the small sound hole. It does however reach nicely inside dreads, OMs and other standard size guitars.

A WORKABLE TOOL

I now have 2 of these. Whatever can help me see what's inside a guitar, I'm all for it. Granted, this mirror has a few quirky angles, so it does come with a learning curve, but it does work, it has it's own light, it allows me to kinda "see around corners", and I will not be without it. I'd like to compare it to a gooseneck, but then, this one extends itself with a telescope handle.

I'm a player (no luthier experience) and I bought this to check on things inside some of my instruments, like the pickups, strings, etc. I think it's a great tool and is well-built.

Not the highest quality & small

I was certainly expecting a much larger mirror than what it appears to have, but i guess it will have to do for now...

Small Enough for F-Holes!

I already had an LED telescoping mirror from the hardware store - but the mirror was too big to easily fit into some of my favorite guitars. This little gem fits and the amount of articulation is much superior to my existing unit.

A very useful tool

I bought this for inspecting my guitars for damage due to exceptionally dry conditions in which I live. I also use it to inspect prospective purchases to assess how the guitars have been stored. In general it is well made, but I wish that the metal was covered with a protective rubber sleeve to protect the guitar from damage during insertion and withdrawal. I have covered my mirror with plastic electrical tape.
