Azebiki Dual Sided Saw

The super handy saw with the tricky name
This traditional Japanese woodworking saw is amazingly versatile for lutherie and repair work.

Used for decades in Japan, the Azebiki saw has been catching on with luthiers and repair techs for being the "saw that does it all". The unique shape, flexible blade, and cross cut or rip cut sides make this saw a problem solver for your bench.

Make complicated cuts easy
The Azebiki Saw is a veneer saw designed for cutting small thin pieces of wood, or starting in the middle of a board. The convex blade can begin the cut anywhere, at any angle on the surface of the wood. This is perfect for trimming headstock overlays and veneers, but it is so much more than a one trick pony.

Not just for veneers, it's a great general purpose luthiery saw. The curved blade makes it easy to start a cut at ANY angle, which is perfect for all of the complex and awkward cuts you'll make in building and repair. We use it to rough-in cavities, trim braces, and fine-tune joints—anything that needs a thin, fine cut.

And there's more! It even makes fretting easier. The .023" kerf is thin enough to deepen or clean fret slots too. We find a new use every time we pick it up!

There's still more! It's two saws in one! One side has a fine crosscut tooth set, the other has a courser rip cut tooth set, perfect for whatever wood you're working with.
