Mixol Universal Tints

The world's most versatile tints
Make any color you want in ANY finish you want.

Traditionally pigments are formulated to combine with nitrocellulose OR waterbase laquers, but Mixol can do both! Mixol tinting pastes are concentrated and finely ground pigments with no binder—meaning they are pure, straight color.

With no binder these pigments readily mix with any finish: nitrocellulose, polyurethane, shellac, waterbased finishes, oil-based lacquers, even fillers and epoxies.

Make any color you can dream
Mixol tints create vibrant solid or translucent colors, no matter what finish you mix them with. They are miscible (mix together readily) with each other—you can create truly any color you want. Mix well for best results.

Unlike a stain, Mixol must be added to something to be used. Because these tints are highly concentrated, a little goes a long way. We've found Mixol mixes well with nearly anything, but always test on scrap before applying. Not recommended to mix with super glues.
