The Electro-Harmonix (EHX) NYC Big Muff Pi is one of the most iconic fuzz boxes ever created. The only problem is the extreme scooped midrange when you engage the pedal. You'll quickly get lost in the mix and lose the tone you've been working for.
You don't need a new pedal! Mod your Big Muff to sound how YOU want.
All the fuzz and none of the mud
With this mod you'll install a switch that will bypass the tone stack, letting more of your unaffected sound to be heard. Now you can have all of the thick and unique fuzz you want, without losing the dynamics of your playing.
It's like getting two pedals in one
Best of all, you can instantly switch between modes to find the right tone for you. This switch was actually a feature on the original New York Big Muffs, but was removed in later versions.
