Vintage Stranded Core Push-back Wire - 50 feet

About This Item

The right wire for Fender and vintage-style circuitry.

Premium Gavitt cloth-covered hookup wire that does not require stripping — simply push it back to reveal the wire. This wire is stranded, making it more flexible and ideal for wiring tight guitar cavities.

Also available in 12-inch pieces.

Diameter: 0.070" (1.78mm)
Length: 50 feet (15.24m)

22 AWG unshielded single conductor wire is tinned and stranded, with a white celanese wrap and waxed braided cotton outer insulation. The cloth insulation simply pushes back to expose the center conductor wire.

Everything about this push-back wire is just right for making a tidy wiring layout. I wish I had purchased this sooner.

Best wire I’ve ever used for guitar electronics. Excellent sounding and extremely easy to solder. I won’t use anything else on my builds.

Bought this to replace inferior wires on a project. Glad there was different colors available. A must if you want the insides to look as custom as the outside.

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality the added convenience of this style wire in spools. It’s exactly what you want if you are wiring your favorite guitar up with new pickups or just want originality of early guitars. I’m very happy with this product. I got three different colors.

I got this for rewiring guitars and new builds. Easy to use, looks clean, and some of my clients prefer the cloth covered for their vintage guitars. I started out with rolls of Black, White, and Yellow.

The real deal

Built a Tweed Deluxe clone from a kit. Not the StewMac kit. It came with wire that had a braided yellow cover over white plastic insulation. Was very hard to wire using kit supplied wire but I didn’t know better
This wire was needed when one of the pots died and I replaced all 3 with CTS amp pots from StewMac. Could not believe how easy it was to use. Wish I had it for original build
