Gotoh In-Tune Compensated Saddles For Tele

About This Item

They look original, but they play in tune!
The problem with vintage Tele® saddles is that they weren't designed for accurate intonation. These Gotoh replacements provide precise tuning while keeping the vintage look.

Built-in compensation
Unique grooves molded into these saddles move each string's point of contact for more exact intonation than traditional barrel saddles.

Choose brass for traditional Tele twang or titanium for rich harmonic overtones and long sustain.

Gotoh's In-Tune saddles fit any vintage-style Tele bridge. Each saddle is reversible and can be used in any position.

Diameter: 0.310" (7.87mm)
String Spread: 2-1/8" (53.98mm)

Set of 3 includes steel intonation screws and springs.

Sound and work fine

I got these to replace the saddles on a Wilkinson bridge. Those saddles seemed to be wearing in such a way to weaken the response of the high E. The replacements work fine. Intonation is pretty good, not perfect but quite acceptable, especially for those of us who like the traditional Tele saddle formation. I wish the height adjustment screws were shorter, but they are OK.

Good bridge!

I had a different compensated bridge on a new T style guitar I built and could never get it intonated correctly. After multiple rechecks to make sure I had everything installed as needed I thought I'd try these to really see where the issue was. These brought the intonation in tune almost immediately. Just by using past experience on where the breakpoints should be I only needed to make minor adjustments. They also really brought the tone up to hear the wood. I will be buying more!

An allen key should be included in this set.

I replaced the stock brass with these slotted nickel titaniums and couldn’t be happier.

Titanium bridge saddles

I installed these on a guitar that was already light, resonant, and responsive. The improvement in tone is noticeable. I'm not gigging due to Covid, but I have recorded with this guitar. It's just darn impressive.

Saddles are exactly what I needed. The Gotoh's have a string groove versus a flat spot. The strings stay in place & don't wander where you can lose a little intonation.Delivered two days earlier than promised, which is unusual during the current Covid situation.

Much better than stock on my Brad Paisley fender telecaster.

Not Clearly better than the Fender Part

These are nicely made and have a transition cut where the string lays that makes the transition point on the saddle more apparent than the original Fender part (which simply has a grove to space the strings). The guitar, a Fender Telecaster Player Special (Mexico) had pretty good intonation to start with and I found it easy to achieve with these Saddles Note that the height adjusting screws use very small Allen keys which are not included. It's a nice enough part and might be a better choice on a clone guitar than a replacement for the Fender OEM part but no harm done. I might have held out for the titanium part.
