Sun Fuzz Pedal
Chasing the Sound that Defined an Era
Back in the '60s, a little round pedal changed the sound of rock forever. From Hendrix's searing leads to Gilmour's soaring sustain, the Fuzz Face became the foundation of countless legendary tones. Players loved it, but they also fought it—those old germanium transistors were moody, unpredictable, and downright temperamental.
When we set out to create the Sun Fuzz, we wanted to capture everything people loved about that circuit—the grit, the bloom, the touch sensitivity—while stripping away the headaches that came with it.
Plug In and Fuzz Out
So here it is the Sun Fuzz, professionally built and ready to play. Same circuit, same obsession with detail, but now you can skip the soldering and go straight to the sound.
With classic Volume, Fuzz, and Tone controls—and hidden bias and clean trim pots for endless tweaking—you can dial in anything from a gritty rasp to infinite sustain. Thanks to the silicon BC-108 transistor, it's more reliable, more consistent, and plays well with humbuckers, single-coils, P-90s, and nearly any amp.
Tone Chasers Agree
"Delicious fuzz that sounds fantastic with single coils or humbuckers and cleans up beautifully with your guitar's volume knob!"
Jeffery, Los Angeles
"…does what a fuzz face does but more, and the internal trim pots help make it into the doom fuzz I was looking for!"
Paulo, Maryland
"I love how this pedal sounds. Exactly what I was looking for: warm fuzz that can get really gnarly and fuzzy but is musical even at extreme settings."
Chris, New York
"Never really been a fan of the Fuzz Face, way to "gushy" and indistinct for me. Not good for chords either. Now this is a different animal. A bit more like a Tonebender. Chords cut through, single notes soar. The tone control is a big plus also…"
Mr. Keef, Illinois
From Kit to Classic
No judgement either way. We get it. |
No Fuss. No Vintage Quirks. Just Pure Fuzz.
The Sun Fuzz delivers classic '60s fuzz without the temperamental germanium, the unpredictable tone shifts, or the soldering iron. Just plug in, stomp, and unleash the sound that defined rock.
Internal Trim Pots
- Clean – Adjusts input signal strength, affecting tone and sensitivity.
Tip: Set to taste for desired response. - Bias – Adjusts bias voltage to the Q2 transistor.
- This is one of two bias pots; the other is the external “Tone” control.
- When setting the internal trim pot, keep the external bias pot fixed at noon for accuracy.
Main Controls
- Volume – Sets overall output level.
- Clockwise: Increase output
- Counterclockwise: Decrease output
- Fuzz – Adjusts gain of Q2, controlling the amount of dirt/grit in the output signal.
