1920s-style Tuner Bushings
Keep your vintage guitar or mandolin looking authentic. These press-fit brass bushings are a simple finesse for adding historical accuracy to reproduction instruments.
Sized to fit standard 1/4"-diameter string posts.
Available in original smooth thin-wall grommet-style brass or our unique knurled machined version. Both types have a similar appearance when installed. Important: measure your string posts and pegholes before ordering. See specs.
Sold individually.
Check your pegholes before ordering.
The original-style bushings are smooth and unknurled, requiring a snug fit to remain flush and rattle-free. Our knurled versions are good choices for retrofitting on pegheads that already have press-fit knurled bushings—doweling and redrilling may not be needed. See Specs.
For a perfect fit, we recommend these reamers to cut a clean, accurate counterbore:
#0733 Original bushings: use our #0344 Standard Reamer
#0734 Knurled bushings: use our #2061 Peghead Bushing Reamer
These bushings will not fit the large pegholes required by Grover, Schaller, Gotoh and similar enclosed guitar tuners that have threaded bushings.
