Ebony with pearl dot, individually lathe-turned to vintage dimensions as specified by StewMac's Don MacRostie, renowned mandolin maker.

The 3/4"-long (19.05mm) shaft has a 2-degree taper, from approximately .350" to .315" (8.89mm to 8.00mm) diameters.
