This is no ordinary dreadnought guitar kit! This WOODSTAX limited edition kit showcases our hand-selected premium tonewoods. With incredibly dynamic Black Limba (Terminalia superba) back and sides paired together with our lightest and stiffest Sitka Spruce (Picea sitchensis) tops—your guitar will turn heads the second it comes out of the case.
Black Limba (also known in guitarmaking circles as Korina) has a very similar tone to Honduran Mahogany but with a beautiful and bold look. The colors range from honey gold to brown with distinct streaks of black interlocking grain lines. Paired with the vibrant and vivid attack of Sitka, your guitar will look as bold as it sounds.
You don't need a shop full of tools
Perfect for beginners or pros alike! If you don't have all the specialized tools you need to thickness sand tops or bend sides, or you want a head start that will save you hours of build time, this is the kit for you. All of the critical work is done so you can start and finish this build with ease. When you open the box, you're ready to build.
