Build a traditional ukulele
The most popular ukulele tonewood, mahogany delivers a focused sound with broad mids and highs. African Sapele is a beautiful mahogany variety. A little bit denser with slightly bolder grain. Can be shipped internationally!

Bookmatched set includes two quartersawn halves and matched sides. When joined, they are large enough for a soprano or tenor ukulele. Sides are unprofiled (rectangular) and unbent. Kiln-dried.

    Back set dimensions:
  • Each half is approximately 5-1/4" x 13" (133mm x 330mm)
  • Thickness-sanded to 1/8" (3.18mm)
    Side set dimensions:
  • Each half is approximately 3-3/4" x 20" (95mm x 508mm)
  • Thickness-sanded to 3/32" (2.38mm)

Sapele Mahogany can be shipped outside the USA, and is becoming a popular alternative to restricted traditional Honduran Mahogany.
