TUSQ XL String Trees

Great for non-locking tremolo setups. Teflon® polymer retainers relieve string friction to help prevent tuning problems.

Traditional metal string trees merely maintain sufficient string angle over the nut. Graph Tech's super-slick Teflon®-impregnated TUSQ XL® string trees relieve string friction as well, to help prevent tuning problems. They're made of the same self-lubricating material used in popular TUSQ XL nuts, a high density polymer that enables more efficient string energy transfer. TUSQ XL string trees are a practical addition to a non-locking tremolo setup, for smoother and more accurate return to pitch.

Set of 2. Each string tree holds down two strings.

Each set includes one short and two long Phillips mounting screws to allow you to have the downward angle required. You can cut/nip the support collar off to achieve a steeper angle typically used for E and B strings.

Pilot holes required: Installing delicate screws such as these into hard maple requires great care and accuracy. We highly recommend using a 3/32" bit for the pilot hole before installing these screws. Lubricate the screw threads with cutting lubricant (also wax or a bar of soap) to reduce friction and help them thread properly.
