Reseat loose fret ends without restringing! Simply fit end of this handy tool over the crown of a fret, and tap with a hammer.

The end of this 5"-long brass tool fits over the crown of a fret, and its slim 3/8" contact surface reseats loose fret ends fast — there's no need to unstring the instrument. It's also great for hand-pressing a loose fret end down while your superglue sets. Setters are available for jumbo and medium fretwires.

Works on stainless frets, too!
All of our tools are suitable for use on stainless-steel fretwire*. Modern stainless-steel fretwire is known to be harder than the traditional nickel-silver blends, but our own shop experience indicates the wire does not cause premature wear of files or sandpapers.
*Excludes our original Fret Tang Nippers. We recommend our Deluxe Fret Tang Nippers for stainless-steel fretwire.
