These bits drill perfectly round holes and resist wandering. Use them in your drill press to quickly cut output jacks holes in solidbody instruments.
Not sure which size you need? Here's what we recommend:
7/8" diameter: for Telecaster style jack cups
15/16" diameter: for Les Paul and many other guitars
Speed up your routing
Save the wear and tear on your delicate router bits! These Forstner-style also bits do the heavy lifting when you're creating control and pickup cavities. Use these bits to quickly remove the bulk of the wood from the cavities and then clean up and finalize the cavity with your router.
Note: when using a Forstner bit, always drill 1/4" or more short of the final depth, then rout to the final depth with your router bit to leave a smooth flat bottom.
