I have a 70s lawsuit era setneck les paul clone. although it had full size pots and a real 3 way
the wiring seamed subpar. also the pots had the characteristic of coming on too loud too quick.
the vintage pickups sound very good p9 ish. i think i am going to put some dimarzios in. not sure yet.
will update with pics. this guitar is beautiful 50 years old and plays extermely well.

An excellent upgrade over stock Gibson parts.

I started with a 2011 Gibson LP Junior Special with bound rosewood FB and nice factory belly cut in wine red nitro and I added a pair of 1982 P90's from a LP goldtop. The kit was the finishing touch to what is a fine guitar. I watched the Stewmac video for directions, I also lined the cavities with copper foil shielding. The results were transformative. However, a good installation will require some soldering and wiring skills-it doe not install itself! For me 5 stars.

Good pots and caps, bad switch.

Bought this for rewiring my epiphone with new pickups. Everything has worked out well except the pickup switch. Installed 3 months ago and the switch broke. The flimsy metal pieces that make and break the contacts got bent and folded under the lever. The provided wires are also very short with about 1 inch of slack so I will have to solder a new switch with the contacts almost up against the finish of the guitar since there isn't enough slack to pull the switch all the way out of the hole it sits in. I'd buy a higher quality switch and maybe some extra wire if you are thinking about purchasing this.

“Mixed bag” of parts

Struggled between a 3 and 4 star. The pots and caps seem to be good quality. The switchcraft toggle is junk - it was rough, didn’t always make consistent contact, and without fiddling with it wouldn’t even stick in the middle position moving from one side. Being open it’s also more prone to contact issues with any loose wiring. Ended up tossing it and using the original switch. The shielded wiring seems to be of ok quality too, but it’s all one wire, would be good for at least some of the switch wire to be two wire with shield. Watch when soldering up the pots too - any undesired contact with the shielded wire can easily ground out your signal.

I bought this kit mainly for the output jack and the toggle switch, both which were damaged in a used Les Paul I picked up. After replacing both pieces I realized that the control pots were in bad shape also, but all those wires!!!! Anyway this kit, the included instructions and a bit of help from YouTube I now have a “new” guitar!!! Thank you StewMac for your help AND the amazing fast shipping!

I used this kit to create a high-quality wiring harness for an Ibanez AG75 hollowbody. All of the components and wire are excellent and their rigidity really helped to keep everything in place once stuffed inside the body through the f hole.

The tone caps and pots are perfect for a humbucker-equipped guitar. Since the pots were all identical as I could tell from their markings, this means that the taper, though great for a tone circuit, isn't really ideal for volume controls and I now wish I'd sourced some CTS linear pots for the volumes-- they work, but it's a whisper from 0-7 and then almost the full swell of volume from 7-10. Some players may prefer that, but it does make dialing-in an exact output level a bit more challenging as the upper part of the pots' arc where useful volume levels can be had is just 20 degrees or so.

Regardless, it's a good harness and (paired with some Golden Age pickups) brought the instrument to a *much* better place in terms of its electrified sound.
