Worth the money

I bought a $139.00 Chinese resonator that was missing a few easily replaceable parts. But after putting $20.00 or so into it and working really hard to get the intonation set correctly for fretted play, it didn't sound too great. I anguished for months about whether I should spend more money on a cheap guitar. I finally did. The new cone and bridge made a distinct difference. Louder and with more bass.
It was worth the money. If you have an imported resonator that sounds weak, this cone and bridge make a big difference. It will not be anything like a really high quality luthier resonator, but it will sound better than you would expect for the money you have in it.

I replaced the original '75 Dobro cone with one of these. It made a huge difference.

Can't speak highly enough about this cone!

Very good

A very good buy. After a string change about a year ago, my dobro never sounded the same. The cone and bridge started rattling no matter how tight I screwed them down and it lost a lot of sustain. I didn't want to spend the money, but I'm glad I did. I bought the Replogle spider bridge with this, and it brought my dobro back to life. Just be warned, I have a Recording King dobro and this was a little larger than the sound hole. I had to slightly bend in the sides to make it fit, which I was afraid would deaden the sound. Fortunately it did not. I'm extremely pleased.

Great Resonator Cone

I ordered this to repair a smashed cone in a new Rouge Square Neck received from an on line dealer. I was tired of sending the guitars backand waiting for refunds. I straightened the spider and with the Relogal cone installed it in the Rouge. To compare with the original Rouge sound would be difficult due to the original damage. Compared to those I have tried at the local music stores it has the tone of resonator guitars in the $580 and up price range. I got a good sounding Resonator Guitar for a little over $200.

Beginning of the year I purchased one of these cones for my Asian made resonator guitar. I installed it myself and I gotta tell you all that now my 'reso' sounds like a 'reso'. This cone has really lifted the tone of my guitar! So much in fact I'm considering a Replogle spider and bridge to really hot-rod my unit. A truly great product!
