Gibson Historic '56 Les Paul P-90 Pickguard

One of more distinguishing features of the iconic Gibson Les Pauls of the late 1950s was the crème-colored pickguard that adorned nearly every instrument that left the Gibson factory.

This '56 Les Paul Historic Pickguard is made of ABS plastic and built to the same OEM specifications as the ones in 1956. It offers a traditional vintage look to any Les Paul with P-90 pickups. Includes two screws for installation.

Dimensions:

  • Length: 7" (177.80mm)
  • Width: 3-1/8" (79.37mm)
  • Pickup cavity size: 1-3/8" (34.92mm)
  • Space between pickups: 2-15/16" (74.61mm)
  • Thickness: 3/32" (2.38mm)
  • Historic shape for two P90 pickups
  • Includes two screws, mounting bracket sold separately
  • Genuine Gibson part
Color-matching Cream Parts and Bindings
There have always been slight variations in the color of the cream plastic parts used on Gibson and other guitars. It's not uncommon to see brand new and vintage guitars with bindings, pickup rings, toggle switch rings and pickguards that don't perfectly match in color. We do our best to match all our cream products, but there's no absolute control from batch to batch, or from supplier to supplier.
