What can I say. These are good quality shell stars. If you want to add a little extra to your position markers these might be a good choice.

My first star inlay job. In the bridge of a Martin Guitar. I used StewMac Pearl Stars, StewMac Glue, StewMac Routing Bits and StewMac Purfling Router Attachment. Once the Star was set, I filled around it with StewMac Black Super Glue and powder from the ebony wood and light sanded and applied StewMac Ebony Wood Dye and it made a flawless perfect job ! All StewMac Quality, I never dreamed I could ever route a quarter inch 6-pointed pearl star in a guitar before ! Thanks StewMac !

I found these on sale when I was making my guitar kit and found a great way to use both sizes to create my North Star guitar.

These stars look great on old style banjos when placed strategically. Old Vega banjos used stars so I try to emulate that styling in the banjos I make. Maybe one day I will get brave and try the engraving kit for a more authentic appearance.

Your mother of pearl stars gave my Little Wonder conversion neck just the right look.
