1/8" (3.00mm)-diameter mounting hole required.

A Felt Washer is recommended to protect the guitar finish.

TIP: Pre-threading the mounting hole will help you avoid twisting off the button during installation. We recommend our Strap Button Drill Bit and Tap.

The Endpin Grip is a great way to hold the button securely for ding-free installation or removal.

Nice ebony strap button

My luthier installed this and when he backed it back out to make the pilot hole a tad deeper, the ebony botton came unscrewed from the shaft. A drop of glue later and everything was fine.

Sturdy, functional & aesthetically pleasing

I've always wondered why folks devalue a beautiful acoustic guitar by screwing a shiny hunk of metal onto the neck heel when these are available. If you buy them to play & enjoy, why not put it a nice button to enjoy? And if you sell or trade, why take a hit? No way this (or the others) are anything but an upgrade if they match the instrument.

Get all the pieces

The product is great and really pops as an accent on my guitar with lighter woods and ebony bindings... sharp! I worked with a friend to install it who had an extra felt washer I overlooked ordering. Make sure to drill and tap the hole ahead of time as well as countersink it and install a felt washer to make it the job look great.

Nice button, easy install

I just installed one of these ebony strap buttons in a Blueridge parlor guitar. It looks great and was simple to install. I bought the Stew Mac button installation kit and some black felt washers and it all worked like a charm.

Sharp Looking Little Strap Button

I recently installed one of these on an HD-28 for a customer. It was the right choice as it complimented the ebony tuner buttons very well and the customer was pleased.

Ebony strap button

I had no trouble installing this on my 1922 A style Gibson Mando. It holds the strap tightly and is compatible with the finish on the color mandolin.

Nice but a little hard to install.

Much harder to install than the normal screw on kind, but if you get the hole the right size, and use some work gloves to screw it on it works just fine. You could also use the special kit Stew-mac sells to make the install a bit smoother. All in all a nice strap button.

Excellent strap button.

Great strap button. Well made and good looking. Big enough to hold the average strap solidly. I recommend that you get the Stew Mac drill and tap kit too. Makes it easy to get a professional result.
