Used in traditional guitarmaking, genuine Honduran Mahogany (Swietenia macrophylla) is very stable, dense, and resonant—it's simply one of the finest woods to work with. It sands and glues easily, and routered edges stay crisp and sharp. It also accepts stains and finishes with ease.

These blanks are the right size for electric guitar and bass.

What does 5/4 mean?
Rough sawn lumber is measured in the quarter system, using 1/4" increments, so 5/4 means 1-1/4" thick. A rough sawn 5/4 board will generally yield a 1" thick finished board.
