Madinter is now StewMac!
With the respected Spanish wood company Madinter now part of the StewMac team, StewMac is opening up access to many of the world’s most coveted exotic tonewoods. MEET THE TEAM
Luisa Fiona Willsher
VP of Wholesale Global Sales
Luisa Fiona Willsher was born and raised in England and has resided in Spain since 1996. Her love of flamenco music inspired her to learn about Spanish guitars and in 2001 she joined the respected Spanish wood supplier, Madinter, eventually gaining partial ownership of the company. She is now StewMac’s VP of Wholesale Global Sales.
Luisa sells instrument woods around the world and she is a recognized expert in tonewood production and sales. Her customers include numerous individual luthiers, as well as the largest factories in the industry. Luisa’s expertise in CITES and international wood regulations have driven Madinter to become a model of legality, sustainability, and responsible sourcing in the wood sector. The company’s work has been recognized with the European Business Award for the Environment, the STTC Award and the American Corporate Excellence Award.

Chris Herrod
Wholesale Sales Manager
Chris Herrod is an experienced supplier to the lutherie community, having worked (previous to joining StewMac) as the Sales Manager at Luthiers Mercantile for over 26 years. Chris is well known for providing expert personal service, and for his expertise in tonewoods. Chris operates as a direct liaison to professional luthiers, manufacturing facilities, and workshops throughout North America, offering bulk discounts, personalized customer service and personal knowledge. Chris is now scheduling shop visits and trade show appearances for the coming year.
