StewMac Walnut Tenor Ukulele Kits

The one build you'll take with you everywhere
Ukuleles are comfortable, portable, and sound amazing. They're easy to take to the park, the beach, or throw in your backpack—you'll always want it there when inspiration strikes. Why not take up the craft and build one?

You've wanted to start building (or have a project with your kids), but it's challenging to know where to start. Let's face it, you don't need experience at all to build a great instrument on your first try. These tenor uke kits are designed to make your first build enjoyable from start to finish; we've precisely crafted each part to fit perfectly, letting you focus on the building without worries.

No woodworking experience required!
We give you detailed instructions and bracing plans to guide you through each step of the build to get you to the finish line. There's a good chance you already own most of the tools you'll need to build your uke.

To reduce spring-back and aid stability the back and sides are made from high quality Pacific Walnut (Dracontomelon dao) laminates—this will go a long way to ensuring your first build is painless and enjoyable.

We have two models so you can choose your sound. The solid spruce top gives the uke a dynamic sound and will age beautifully over time. The laminated walnut top is more travel friendly and easy to care for.
