Five-Star Dulcimer Tuning Pegs

Ultra smooth operation and stunning looks too!
Five-Star planetary drive tuning pegs are purpose-built for scroll head dulcimers. Vintage style is paired with 4:1 gearing for easy, accurate movement that stays in place once set.

Built to last
These pegs are made using quality materials throughout—machined steel gear case and shafts, steel ring gear, steel pinion gears, and sealed lubrication for long-lasting operation. The finely crafted, removable knobs include adjustable tension screws to dial in just the right feel.

Beautiful knobs and plating
We carry four distinct styles of knobs to give your new dulcimer that custom look or to match a vintage instrument.

Pick the look that's right for you.

  • Ivoroid knobs are machined from Galalith, a dense and durable casein-based material that polishes beautifully. It resembles genuine ivory, but it's a non-animal alternative.
  • Ebony knobs are machined from real wood; They're lightweight and add a custom look.
  • Cream knobs give any instrument that killer vintage vibe.
  • Pearloid knobs are made from a semi-translucent plastic and they pair well with older hardware.

Dimensions:
5/16" to 3/8" sidewall thickness required (7.9mm to 9.25mm)
