We're fanatical about accuracy! When you're working on guitars, just 0.001" can mean the difference between an awful buzz and a great playing guitar. When you're making a nut, once you've cut too far, there's no going back!
While analog dial indicators have been our favorite for years, they can be very finicky, are extremely sensitive to movement, and are just plain hard to read. We wanted a dial that was just as precise, but would make every job easier.
Instant upgrade
Got an older Nut Slotting Gauge? Our new digital indicator takes this must-have tool to a new level. It's much easier to read and instantly switches between standard and metric. With a resolution of 0.001" or 0.01mm, it's also much more precise. Nut slot depth is critical to a great setup, and this is a big upgrade for one of our most useful tools.
Replacing an old dial indicator?
You can easily upgrade to the digital indicator: loosen the set screw on the brass block, remove the dial indicator and replace it with the digital indicator, and tighten the set screw. That's it! No modifications are necessary.
