Granadillo, Platymiscium dimorphandrum
Granadillo's natural medium brown color, often with hints of purple or red, beautifully oxidizes over time to a deep, rich chocolate. Wavy, river like figure is a normal occurrence on higher grade sets. More and more builders like Martin and Gibson are utilizing this wood not only for it's tone, but it's understated beauty.

It sands well, and is easily worked with hand or power tools. Clear finishes really highlight the intricacies of the grain and the varieties of color in the wood.
