T-Style Mini Guitar with Gig Bag

About This Item

Painted, wired, and ready for YOUR final touches
Not a kit, this guitar is ready for final set up right out of the box! Customers loved our Mini T-Style Electric Guitar Kit so much we made a limited run of completely built, finished, and wired versions.

Don't miss your chance! We only have a very small (no pun intended) number of these inspiring, ready-to-customize mini guitars. We've taken care of all the tricky parts. We've professionally finished the neck and body, added our Five-Star logo, and buffed them to an ultra high gloss. Each guitar is fully assembled, and we've wired up and installed all of the electronics.

But, don't worry! We've left the most fun part for you
If you wanted a very easy project to start your setup and modding journey, this is the perfect way to start! Once you open the box, the guitar is ready for you to adjust the final nut slot height and set the intonation. Since every player is different, and because these guitars sound great with many different options of tuning and string gauges, you choose how to set it up. With just a few minor adjustments you're ready to play.

This little guitar sounds great in multiple tunings due to the shorter scale. For a totally new but familiar tone, we've enjoyed tuning these one octave up in standard, A to A (like a capo at the 5th fret), and all sorts of open tunings. Find what inspires you.

The tone and style you love
These guitars sound and play just like their full scale big brothers. Everything from the nut width to the electronics and hardware are the same size as traditional Tele-style guitars—it's like a new version of an old friend.

    T-Style Mini Guitar Features:
  • Completely assembled out of the box
  • Finished and buffed Mahogany body with classic T-Style shape
  • Finished and buffed Mahogany neck with Indian Laurel fingerboard
  • 16.3" (414mm) scale length with 1-5/8" (41mm) nut width
  • White pickguard
  • Fully wired electronics
  • Neck and bridge single coil pickups
  • Three-way switch, volume, and tone knobs
  • Chrome hardware
  • Traditional 3-saddle bridge

And your new guitar includes a FREE Mini Gig Bag! It's the perfect size to take your Mini-T with you everywhere!

Want to build your own?
This is the same guitar offered in our Mini T-Style Electric Guitar Kit. If you've been on the fence about trying your first guitar build, this kit is just what you need. Everything comes pre-routed and ready for you to start right out of the box. And it's a fast and easy project—you already own many of the tools. Open the box in the morning and you'll be playing by afternoon! Want to build a mini Strat-shape? We've got that too!

Quite satisfied

This is a fun instrument to have around. The gig bag is pretty basic, but well made, and the guitar was fairly well set up and playable right out of the package, aside from needing to be tuned. That, though, was not as straightforward as it sounds. I really wanted to have it an octave above standard, but the high strings felt like they were about to snap well before I got that high. I couldn't find any information on tunings for these minis, or what gauges the strings are (or my calipers, for that matter), so with some trial and error I eventually settled on b standard. Tension feels good there, about like a set of 9s on my strat, but the tiny frets and narrow spacing of the cutaway make it hard to play anything above about fret 15 with large hands. Overall, though, I like this guitar a lot and am happy I bought it. So is my 6 year old; it's the perfect size for him! XD

Love it! Great little Telecaster! The grandkids love it. I’m hoping they will be inspired to take up guitar. They love playing along with me and it makes a great conversation starter.

Great concept but issues with the scale length

By

This is a great little guitar that honestly has an odd scale length and causes issues with string winding. As others have noted before me, the scale length does not lend itself well to using standard guitar strings without breaking the high "E". I tried a set of 9's and that broke 2 of them. I then switched to an 8 on the high "E" and it held for a while but when attempting to intonate the guitar that also broke. I just believe there is way to much tension on the string for it to hold up for any length of time without snapping.

I got the finished mini guitar on sale for $159. The fit and finish is decent. Fret work is playable out of the box. Only minimal adjustment is needed at the nut. Pick up sounded decent.
I am very happy with the purchase.

My home studio is a hands-on polyphonic playplace for kids of all ages, and this quality little joyful noisemaker is a wonderful addition. It's a fun and faithful reproduction, sounds great...

and looks so very cool next to a '65 Heathkit 9 watt thunderbox :)

cool but limited

after breaking 2 high E strings trying to tune it, i talked to tech support and they said it need to be tuned down a fifth in order not to break the string because of the greater tension in the short neck length. not a great solution. and being a mandolinist, i know that a short neck length can withstand the tension.
all that being said, it's a nice toy and i'll figure out how to have some fun with it.

Lots of fun for the money!

I was expecting to have to do more to this little tele but mine was almost "there" right out of the box! The nut is cut right where it needs to be. After new strings, I lowered the action a bit at the saddles and it plays great with good intonation after very little tweaking. The fit and finish also far exceeded my expectations at this price.

As others have also found, I could not tune it too E without breaking the first string (9 and 10 both broke but I didn't have an 8). D tuning or lower works great though. The fret ends need a little rounding off but this is normal on low end guitars and I will do that myself soon.

This is a good value for the money. Not something I'll use a lot but good to have when I need it!
