Good bridge and strings, however, the tuners were another story.

Nice bridge and good strings. However, I had to call Grover on about installing the machines as there was no directions in the tuner package and the install was not a standard install. I wish there would have been instructions on depth and size of the necessary holes I had to guess at for the install. Once I spent my time figuring it all out, the machines seemed to work well. Long term, I am not sure how they will fare. If I were to do this again, I would recommennt getting the reamer Stew Mac recommends.

very ergonomic

I bought a Kamaka concert uke at the factory in Honolulu in 1990 and it came with these tuners. Because I have crippling arthritis in my left hand, I appreciate the large buttons. I feel the tension screws are larger than necessary but they work flawlessly. I wish they had the color options of the Waverlys because engraved gold with koa or tortoiseshell buttons would look great on this top of the line instrument. My experience is that geared pegs are unnecessary on a nylon or gut strung uke.
