Not what I expected but ok. My banjo should have fine tuners like my fiddle for bluegrass does

However if 'ya want specs for the Banjo go to Dulcimer page in on line catalog.
Otherwise, the usual excellent Stu-Mac service and quality.

frictionpeg

Installed on a 9/16 peghead, and just barely
attached at that thickness,,, not optimal, but
seems to be working.
When at a reasonable holding pressure, are
a bit hard to turn, but seem to be holding tune...
I actually love the appearance better than generic planetarys.
And really like the black myself.

To the Rescue

Customer wanted an octave 3rd string on his dreadnought but didn't want to buy 4 mini tuners for the treble side, nor pay the labor to fill and redrill the peghead. I suggested a Grover banjo peg placed below the logo. The octave string is a .08, so a friction peg is up to the task.

It's working out great, and now I have 3 extras in case the idea catches on locally.

Excellent inexpensive tuner. Holds string tension well.

Good simple upgrade

I dropped these into a 100-year-old no-name banjo as a direct replacement for the sticky old tuners and it went from can't-tune-it to fine tuned. Wish they came in off-white as well, but they look fine. They are remarkably good at sticking the note once you get the tension right.

Easy to install - only a slight modification to the original holes,. They have my c.1920 Concertone openback banjo tuning up better than ever - well, for a banjo :)

Tenor Banjo

I bought these for an old Concertone Tenor Banjo that wouldn't hold a tune. The previously installed tuners were a little smaller, so I had to drill out the holes a bit. After installing the new tuners, there has been no issue with pegs slipping or strings going out of tune.

excellent conversion

I use these on a converted Dean 6-string banjo. Along with a Rodgers skin head, and stwemac bridge, it sounds like an early 1900s banjo
