Look and work well.

These went on a 1957 D-21. My own guitar (I actually get to work on my own stuff from time to time) and I wanted them to look the part (the buttons are very close match) and work well. I'm sort of tempted to age them a bit but otherwise they are perfect.

HAPPY GIBSON PLAYER

These tuning machines are a GREAT upgrade for my Gibson J45...tuning is tighter, the all-around tone of the guitar seems brighter, and they look good. I had to drill holes bigger (from 23/64” to 25/64”) but all is good...I am a Gibson & Fender certified tech.

I put these on a 1970 Martin D28 and I couldn't be happier. They were better quality than the ones I took off.

Beautiful vintage style tuners!

Bought these tuners to replace the not so great stock ones on my Recording King Dirty 30's resonator guitar. Just what this guitar needed. Nice vintage vibe, and the usual great Grover quality and smooth operation. Great price from StewMac!

Grover Vintage Deluxe

I replaced the Gibson standard & very unstable Klusons with these Grovers: tuning problems solved.
I have bought 3 Gibson guitars that had Kluson keystone tuners on them -- the first in 1972, then in 1998 & then last year. All the same: none would stay in tune. Gibson has known for at least 50 years that these tuners are garbage, so it's clear that even on a simple matter like tuning machines quality control means nothing to them.

Great for 1950s era Martin!

If you have had a 1950s period Dreadnaught, as I have had, you kno the depressed-on-both-sides oval tuners are correct for this period. I bouth an HD-16R Adirondack which came with enclosed modern Martin tuners. However, the guitar looks like a 50s D-28. I installed these tuners and voila-the correct appearance, great function, and reasonable price. All great! Stew-Macs invetory is amazing.

Grover quality in a cool vintage housing

These high quality machined tuning heads are always my favorite upgrade on any guitar. I'm using them on some old acoustics, but these can easily work on electrics as well.

Perfect for getting that vintage look while upgrading functionality.

I got these for a '96 Epiphone Les Paul Special double cut I received in trade. These work so much better than the original machine heads that were on the guitar. They look fantastic on the guitar as well. I am a very happy camper.
